One week til Halloween and one week til Game One for OUR SAN ANTONIO SPURS!
Tonight though, game one World Series. It will be many years until my Astros get back, so gotta get used to embracing the Series without passion for either team. Baseball is such a fantastic sport it should not be difficult. The Fall Classic!
I am a little surprised that OUR SPURS cut Curry and Brown. The battle is now between Witherspoon and Powell for the final roster spot. The final exhibition game is Friday against the Wizards and then NOLA bound for game one(10/31).
On to the Rock n Roll.....today an Aerosmith update of sorts and a cool interview from England.
The booklet for the new album features a drawing of the band that Slash did when he was 13. Steven Tyler says he saw the sketch in a Los Angeles deli and offered to buy it, but to no avail. But, apparently the owner of the piece decided to license it as it is now part of the packaging. Music From Another Dimension comes out November 6th. Aerosmith and Cheap Trick play Austin on November 16th.
SIDE NOTE: At one point, Slash owned Joe Perry's 1959 Les Paul. He says, "Apparently it had been stolen from Joe Perry and sold a few times before someone called me and asked if I was interested in buying it. Once I found out it was the real thing, I bought it. Anyway, I kept it for a long time; but I knew that Joe really loved that guitar probably as much as I did. So I gave it to him for his birthday in 2000."
