HAPPY RUSH DAY
Last shot at freebies today at 2:30! Tonight An Evening With RUSH at the ATT Center. There will be no opening band, two extended sets with RUSH-a half time intermission will be provided. But don't dilly dally, cool/funny videos to intro and outro. Thanks to Joe Anthony and Lou Roney for turning Texas on to the best band ever. I am particularly looking forward to Alex's solos on "Clockwork Angels" and "The Garden"but this is a show not to be missed. All three members are at the top of their respective game.
As Neil states........."The Future As Seen From The Past"..........They have arrived hot, sweaty, sliding into third, as a working, touring band. The dedication and inspiration remain strong, combined with hard-won experience and knowledge-acquired over 20 studio albums, and thousands of live shows.
Those were Neil's words and in my words...RUSH is gonna ROCK. They are the best band ever and individually the best at their craft. One more factor to consider,we are catching them at the tail end of this tour. They filmed the Dallas show this week and the final concert(this leg) is Sunday in Houston. WE ARE PERFECT. The always present tightness will be even tighter. RUSH are together, grew up together and had this dream and they're funny and they're family guys. The relationships and struggles are in the music. The music that has meant so much to me for so many years. It is alive tonight. I remember the older brother(Reed) of my friend down the street(Scott) playing that first RUSH album for us the first time. Finding My Way....WHOAAH YEAAAAHHH! I have stayed friends with the music of RUSH ever since. RUSH is gonna ROCK. I anxiously await hearing the new material live for the first time tonight. I anxiously await hearing the older material-the older friends to reminisce. The posters on my walls as a kid came to life when the needle hit the vinyl. The genius lyrics of Neil Peart opened the travel gates of imagination. From kid to young man to college student to young adult and to whatever it is at this juncture. Here we go. All the worlds a stage. It is going to be all good. They have nothing to prove-they are just going to do what they're going to do. And I for one am perfectly fine with that. In fact, I insist. Wanna see what longevity is all about? Come see RUSH tonight...KZEP CONCERT EVENT....ATT CENTER 7:30....belly full of beer...popcorn......hey baby it's a quarter to eight....even though your going through hell..just keep on going..let the demons dwell...just wish them well...............the arrow flies when you dream the hours tick away...the cells tick away...the Watchmaker keeps to his schemes...the hours tick away....They tick away.
