And all year long, we've been told that it was soft-core porn for moms, who read about bondage and kinky sex while they're waiting to pick up their kids from soccer practice.
But according to a new market-research report, almost as many MEN have bought "Fifty Shades" as moms.
Fewer than 30% of the people who bought the book were moms with kids at home . . . and one in five customers, or 20%, were MEN.
Only 11% of people who bought the book said it was an impulse decision . . . the rest went looking for it. And 1% said they bought the book "for work or career reasons".
Q… According to this study over half of the people who shopped on Black Friday were looking for this… what is it?
A… looking to buy a gift for themselves.
Black Friday has become the ultimate frenzy of materialism. But before, at least you could say it was insanity in the name of buying things to make other people happy.
Not anymore. Black Friday is now about PERSONAL GREED.
According to a new study of social media activity on Black Friday, of the 9,315 people who mentioned who they were shopping for, 58% said they were shopping for THEMSELVES. Only 42% were shopping for gifts for others.
That means three out of five people were in it for themselves. Only two out of five were trying to buy gifts. I guess they can NOW shop for gifts with the help of their discounted
iPad.
