Here is today’s 20 Minute Trivia:
Q… According to a new study, the number of women using this to improve themselves has dropped by over 10% in the last 20 years…. What is it?
A… A diet.
According to the NPD Group, fewer women in the U.S. dieted last year than any other year since 1982. It's definitely the lowest number since the so-called obesity crisis started in the
late '90s.
23% of women dieted in 2012. Back in 1992, that number peaked at 34%.
People's attitudes toward chubbiness are also changing. Only 23% of people now say that someone who's thin is definitely more attractive than someone who's overweight. In 1985, 55% of Americans believed that was true.
Q… According to this study men are more likely to keep this household item clean than women… what is it???
A… The bed sheets.
According to a new survey by a British store called Dunelm Mill, nearly one in five people change their sheets only once a month, or less.
Here's how often people wash the sheets on their bed:
#1.) Two in five people wash their sheets every week . . . and MEN are slightly more likely than women to wash them that often.
#2.) One in three change their sheets every two weeks.
#3.) A little less than one in five . . . 17% . . . do it every month, or even LESS frequently.
#4.) 6% of us wash them MORE than once a week.
#5.) And 1% of us only wash our sheets ONCE a YEAR.
